The 92-edition passport, which began to be issued in April 1993, is valid for 5 years and can be renewed twice, 5 years each time. It stopped being issued on October 20, 2000, but can be used until the validity period expires. In case the destination and purpose of the first exit do not agree with those written on the Exit Card attached to the passport, it is unnecessary to have a new Exit Card issued as the border inspection offices no longer ask to see the Exit Cards.
