Foreigners holding a valid passport and Chinese visa or other documents can enter China through a port open to foreigners. However, those who are required to enter China by a port designated by the visa office and their means of transport must act accordingly. On arriving at the port, foreigners must produce their valid passport and Chinese visa or other documents for examination, and fill in the entry and exit registration card. They are allowed to enter China after their papers have been inspected and stamped by the border check post.
